Black Lotus Brows Policies

Previous Work Policy

If you have previous work, you MUST send a good, quality, up close picture of your brows to Stephanie@blacklotusbrows.com for approval to book. If this step is not done prior to you booking your appointment, your appointment could be canceled and deposit forfeited.  Please consider booking a free consultation prior to booking to discuss the best service for your previous work.

Deposit Policy

A non-refundable deposit is required to book certain services. The deposit will go towards the total cost of your service when final payment is due. Deposits will be noted on each service type.

Exclusions Policy

You cannot receive certain services if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, have had botox or filler 2 weeks prior the appointment date, or have been on Accutane within the last 6 months.

Cancellation Policy

A non-refundable deposit is required to book all or new appointments. This deposit does go towards the final/total cost of your service when payment is due. You must provide a 48 hour notice if you intend to reschedule or cancel the appointment. If you fail to do so, you will forfeit your deposit and a new deposit will be required to book another appointment. If you do not show on the day of your appointment, in addition to losing the deposit, you will be charged 50% of the total payment due for the service you booked. If you do not show up to multiple appointments, you will no longer be allowed to book with me going forward. Thank you for understanding, and valuing my time as I do yours.

Late Policy

Please reach out to me if you are going to be late. I am very understanding but my time is valuable as is yours!

Because I tend to book appointments back-to-back, if you are more than 15 minutes late without notice, your appointment will be canceled automatically. If you can give me notice within the first 15 minutes of your original appointment time, and there is time to complete your appointment despite your new arrival time, we will!

Please note, your deposit may be forfeited if you do not show up without notice or give notice for being more than 15 minutes late more than once.

Photo Release Policy

Photos and Videos will be taken. They will be used for marketing purposes including but not limited to all social media platforms, email, and website marketing etc. You have the option to choose if you're okay with your full face or just close up photos. If you do not wish for your photos to be used at all, let me know ahead of time; regardless, photos will still be taken (but not shared or used without your permission).

Aftercare Instructions

The healing process can be around 10-14 days. During this time it is important you follow your aftercare instructions because this can impact the way your brows look by up to 70%. That being said, the most important thing to follow is: No sun, No Water, No itching.

First and foremost, do not touch your eyebrows and if you must, please wash your hands with antibacterial soap first.

Limit your sun exposure. If you need to leave the house/go places, try wearing sun-glasses and a hat to protect your brows from the sun.

Do not submerge your brows in water. Water can introduce bacteria that can cause infection. This includes swimming pools, lakes, beaches, or baths. I understand that you have to shower but when you do there is a process to help avoid getting your brows wet. When wetting your hair, tilt your head back and use your hands as a shield to the water. Keep your head tilted back while you shampoo/conditioner and wash out your hair. Try to get a towel on your head to prevent water from coming down onto your brows prior to you lifting your head back to its normal, upright position. If you need to wash your face, start by washing the bottom half of your face from below your brows. For the top half, you can get a clean washcloth and your favorite face wash to use. Once you wet the wash cloth and bring your face wash to a lather, you can ring it out to ensure water does not drip onto your brows and clean the top half of your face. Rinse the cloth out, ring it, and wipe away your face wash.

No itching, scratching, or picking at your eyebrows. Your eyebrows will create small scabs and they will come off naturally during this process. If you accelerate this process by doing any of the things I mentioned, this can remove pigment from your skin, or create scarring.

Day 1 (immediately after service):

When the service is performed, your body will produce a colorless fluid containing white blood cells called lymph which is a totally normal part of the healing process. Blot your eyebrows with gauze pad provided to you every minute for up to 30 mins or until no more lymph is showing on the guaze pad. This process helps to ensure minimal scabbing.

Day 2-5:

Using a clean Q-tip, apply a rice-sized amount of ointment to your brows before bed. The ointment is provided to you at the time of your initial service and should be enough for your touch-up appointment.

Day 5+:

The remaining days you will just follow the no sun, no water, no itching guidelines that I listed above. Once your scabs have completely come off, you can go about your day like you normally would and resume any previous routines you had.

Your dream brows are waiting.
